Anniversary Fun

Scott and I just celebrated twelve years of marriage. It has been wonderful and full of blessings, growth and adventure!!! We celebrated on May 3rd and on May 4th we found out we are having another sweet boy join our family. We are exicted and humbled of this great opportunity to raise children and enjoy being a family. I am grateful for all things the Lord has given me and the many ways he has provided growth and understanding. Life is Good!!!!

Green Grass Here We Come....

We have enjoyed being home owners and take pride in our new investment. Scott has really grown and impressed me with his landscaping skills, all the practice as a kid has paid off!! Last month he removed all of the rocks in our front yard, a favorite yard decor of the Arizonians, and tilled the land and planted seed. Wow, it was a ton of work, on his part of course. The seedlings are sprouting and we are sooo excited to see green here in our desert oasis. Way to go Scott!!!!!!
We love your great work and effort!!!!

Father and Son, Time Together

The boys decided to go on a fun adventure. They took a drive up to Canyon Lake and had fun swimming and spending quality father and son time together being quite adventurous. While at home, the girls went to one of their favorite restuarants and spent time roaming the mall. Fun stuff!!

Fun Visit With Our Friends

Aubrey and Brandon Dickens came to visit our family; we had a blast. We went to one of our local parks and rented paddle boats. It was fun soaking in the sun and visiting with good friends. Thanks for the visit!!!

Fun With The Dodgers.......

Monte and Grandpa Mike at a Dodger Game

We've taken in a few more Dodger games this year, despite our dissapointment with Manny Ramirez. I got the text from Scott the day it was heard Manny tested positive for illegal drugs. O.k., I thought, that is a shame. But, little did I know how my family would take it. Scott was in a fog for a few days, Emilie was crying and cursing as much as a six year old does and Monte was pained, but still wanted to support the Dodgers. Needless to say, hereos are hard to come by.
On the bright side, the Dodgers are still doing great, despite the upset. Go Dodgers!!!!!!

Hey Look Aunt Tina, Here's My Driving Glove

The kids love all their aunts and uncles and each one share a special part in their lives.
And, little Emilie has really become quite aware of her "Aunt Tina" and all she does. Emilie aspires to be a life gaurd like Aunt Tina, she wants to go to BYU like Aunt Tina and she has decided to wear a "driving glove" like Aunt Tina.

Early Easter Surprise from Grandpa and Grandma Keller

Fun at the Mesa, Arizona Temple

Delightful Easter Chocolate, Yum!

Easter with the Ortizes at our home

We enjoyed many Easter time festivies. We had a wonderful time discussing the Savior's love and sacrifrice for all of man kind. We felt the spirit of Easter as we witnessed a reinactment of the crucifixtion and ressurection, at the Mesa Temple. We also enjoyed many fun actvities, Easter egg hunts, and yummy Easter dinner. It was fun visiting with friends and family.

Kids Love to Clean????

I like a clean house, but cleaning is not my favorite thing to do. It makes me down right fussy!! So, early on I decided that I would teach my children how to clean, so they can be of some help. Well, they are still learning and they help a bit, of course not without complain. Anyhow, one cleaning day, there was a long list of things that needed attention. So, each kid was in charge of a bathroom and I was tending to the kitchen. The door bell rang and Monte's play crew were ready to play. Of course, I had to tell the kids my kids were doing chores (I was not going to clean the house by myself). Then to my surprise, the friends begged to help out! Wow, I was surprised and I put them to work. After we were finished, each kid expressed how they wished they could do more chores at home, what? who knew, O.k., so, deep down kids really love to work around the house. Or I've just been blessed with kids whom love to help, because cleaning really isn't my favorite. Either way, it made me chuckle!

Monte, Student of the Month

Monte received the "Student of the Month Award." Monte is a pretty decent kid and his teacher recognized him last month as being a good kid. We are proud of him, he has shown to be more responsible and studious these past few months. Some of the rewards of parenting are seeing your children excell, Big bright smiles for me and Scott.

Our Dancing Diva

Emilie, our rock star, shines again. Emilie decided she wanted to perform in our ward talent show. She used some learned hip-hop moves and choreopgraphed a rockin dance. She danced to a Hannah montana song and brought the house down with lots of hip shaking, arm waving and cart wheels. She's like her mom, we love to dance!! Scott and I were very proud of her bravery and enthusiasm, way to go Emilie.

Pine Wood Derby, bring it on!!!

The Pine Wood Derby Baby!! Monte and Scott had a blast turning their piece of pine wood into a mean racing machine. They took some special father and son time together cutting, sanding, painting, polishing, adjusting wheels and weighting down the race car. This event was put on by the boy scout leaders and was highly intense and fun. upon entering the racing venue (church builing) each car in weighed, only honest racers allowed. Then each den competes against each other several times for an accurate reading. Everything is monitered by computer, it was really exciting. monte did well and placed third. We're gearing up for next year's first place!
This year Emilie was involved in The Girl Scout Program at her school. She had so much fun. She and her troop had an opportunity to lead the flag ceremony, she looks so sweet here saying the Pledge of Alligance.
